We don't lack personal items in our vehicle either, we often talk to them. In fact, almost a third of the respondents even name their car - according to research carried out by Magyar Suzuki in November .

According to UNICEF Hungary's latest research, abuse at school can occur even at an early age

On behalf of UNICEF Hungary, the Median Public Opinion and Market Research Institute conducted a national survey in the fall of 2022 among Hungarian youth between the ages of 12 and 20 on school bullying and harassment, the prevalence of violence and its functioning. The results of the research carried out with the support of Magyar Suzuki Corporation showed that half of those involved in school bullying experienced abuse for the first time at school when they were in elementary school.

Magyar Suzuki Corporation increased its net sales in 2021 as well

In 2021, a total of 107,974 vehicles rolled off the production line at the Esztergom factory of Magyar Suzuki Corporation. 86 percent (103 247 units) of total sales volume has been exported to 123 countries. Based on the last year’s results, the company has dominated the domestic new car sales for the sixth year in a row with a 14.48 percent share. Magyar Suzuki Corporation closed 2021 with a 1,754.2 million EUR net revenue, an increase of 6 percent compared to the previous year.

Craft boats, recognized at the Hungarian Design Award can be purchased with Suzuki outboard engines

The Marine business unit of the Magyar Suzuki has entered into a partnership with the Duna Hajók of Győr. As a result of the cooperation, the self-developed Duna 6.1 Cabin compact ship model, which was also recognized at the Hungarian Design Award, will be available in the future not only in an electric version, but also in a petrol version equipped with a Suzuki outboard engine. The joint showroom of the two companies opened on Ikrényi út in Győr. The new dealership and service will fill the gaps in the county seat.

Magyar Suzuki draws attention to the protection of our waters with an outdoor installation

Until the end of September, a special photo installation will be on display in Erzsébet Park in Esztergom, with which Magyar Suzuki draws attention to the preservation of the purity of our waters. The 12 photos of the public space artwork – evoking the photographic history of the picture taking methods – are illuminated by the light of the sun. Thus, the installation is conveying the unparalleled beauty of nature along the river Danube through creating contrasting atmosphere at different times of the day and besides varying weather conditions.

Róbert Krisztián is elected as President of the Society of Hungarian Automotive Industry (MAGE)

The national interest-representing association of vehicle producers and suppliers (MAGE) elected the new members of its Presidency and Supervisory Committee following a secret ballot on its general assembly elections. Representatives of 37 member companies participated the event. The gremium elected Róbert Krisztián, Executive General Manager of Magyar Suzuki Corporation as president for four years, dr. László Urbán, Deputy Managing Director of Magyar Suzuki Corporation remained the President of the Supervisory Committee.

Programs for the whole family – Then and Now Vehicle Expo

After a two-year hiatus the „Then and Now Vehicle Expo” will be held for the fifth time in Esztergom on April 30 and May 1, where past and present cars, motorcycles, horse-drawn carriages, bicycles and boat specialties will be exhibited. Marine Division of Magyar Suzuki Corporation celebrated Earth Day 2022 with garbage collection

On April 22, 2022, on Earth Day, Marine Division of Magyar Suzuki Corporation organized a garbage collection campaign in Esztergom and other programs related to environmental protection. In connection with the international project Clean Up the World, the company cleaned the popular resting area on the northeaster shore of Lake Palatinus in Esztergom from a total of 1 container of waste.

12 percent wage increase on average at Magyar Suzuki Corporation

A 12 percent wage increase will be applied on average by the company at its Esztergom plant retroactively, back to January, following consultations with the Works Council. Over the past five years Magyar Suzuki Corporation has increased the base salary of physical workers by 78 percent and office workers by 52 percent. Wages of office workers will increase by an average of 9 percent, those of manual workers by 12 percent, and starting salary of operators by 14 percent in 2022. The company also provided a 13-month year-end bonus and compensates them for the five national holidays that fall on weekends with rest days. Magyar Suzuki Corporation closed its working hours frame at the end of last year, releasing an average of 15 previously paid working days to its physical workers.

New Outboard Motors and Further Greening in 2022 from the Suzuki Group’s Marine Division

Suzuki is expanding its marine engine portfolio with a new outboard range. In line with the green objectives of Suzuki Group, the marine business unit also renewed the packaging of 376 products based on environmentally conscious considerations. As a result, they used 4039 kilograms less plastic in one year. The division wants to increase this number to 10,000 kilograms of total plastic savings in 2022.

Magyar Suzuki – On the Top for the 6th Time

With 17 650 passenger cars registered, Suzuki reached an 14,48 percent market share on the domestic new passenger car market in 2021. The brand – primarily thanks to its domestically produced Vitara and the new S-CROSS model that made its debut at the end of last year – has been leading new passenger car sales in Hungary for six years. The Japanese brand which sells only hybrid passenger cars in the EU markets in line with its green aspirations will further expand its hybrid selection manufactured in Esztergom in 2022. With the new hybrid system, the Vitara will be available first, and later, in the second half of the year the new S-CROSS.
