This Privacy Notice provides information regarding the processing of the personal data provided by users and visitors to Magyar Suzuki Corporation’s website in a short, concise and transparent form, as summarized below:

  • The purpose of the data processing:
    (i) analyzing the website’s usability and quality;
    (ii) contacting you regarding SUZUKI’s products and services;  
    (iii) processing your Customer Service requests;
    (iv) transferring your data to your selected Dealer regarding your test drive applications.

  • The legal grounds of the data processing:
    (i) Your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR, in case your data are processed in connection with contacting you, and, to the extent necessary in case you are not a customer and you contact our customer service. You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time. Such withdrawal has no effect on the lawfulness of the prior processing of your data based on your consent.
    (ii) if you are an existing or prospective customer, pursuant to Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR, the data processing is required for the performance of a contract, or, prior to the conclusion of a contract, for completing the tasks requested by you as the data subject, to the extent necessary, whenever you contact our customer service or use our Assistance service.
    (iii) further, the legal grounds for the data processing, pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, is SUZUKI’s legitimate interest with the aim of analyzing the website’s usability and quality.

  • Recipients: Within SUZUKI, your data will be accessible to the Domestic Sales Department, the Internal Audit Department, the Legal & Compliance Department, the Corporate Communications Department and the IT Department, on a “need to know” basis. Whenever you apply for a test drive, your contact information will be forwarded to your selected Dealer, including the name, the email address and the phone number you will have provided to us. SUZUKI’s IT hosting providers will serve as the processors of the personal data.

  • Your rights: You may request the rectification or deletion of, the restriction of the processing of, or access to your personal data, you may object to the processing of such personal data, and you have the right to data portability.

Who is the data controller?

What is the purpose of the data processing?

(i) analyzing the website’s usability and quality;
(ii) contacting you regarding SUZUKI’s products and services;  
(iii) processing your Customer Service requests;

What personal data do we process?

As regards the analysis of the website’s usability and quality, we process the below data in particular (“Data on Browsing and Website Usage Patterns”):

  • the type of the browser and the operating system you are using, the browser’s language setting, your IP address, the date and time of your accessing the websites, the number of such accesses, the pages you visited, and, in connection with the map services, your geographic location.

As regards your contacting our Customer Service, we process the below data in particular (“Customer Service Data”):

  • the email address you provide to us,

  • the content and communication metadata of the messages you send us.

The providing of these data is voluntary, and in the lack of these data we will not be able to contact you.
Please note that such personal data in the messages you send us that we do not have the legal grounds or the purpose to process will be deleted or anonymized.
As regards our contacting you, we process the below data in particular (“Contact Data”):

  • your name, which is required for identifying you;

  • you email address, which is required for contacting you, and for the communication between the remote parties in connection with contracting;

  • your phone number.

The providing of these data is voluntary, and in the lack of these data we will not be able to contact you.

What are the legal grounds of the data processing?

Your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR:

  • in connection with contacting you;

  • to the extent necessary, in case you are not a customer and you contact our customer service;

You are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time. Such withdrawal has no effect on the lawfulness of the prior processing of your data based on your consent.

Pursuant to Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR, it is required for performance or preparation of a contract:

  • In case you are an existing customer, and you wish to use a service we or our partners provide (e.g. Suzuki Mester+, Assistance), or you contact our Customer Service.

Further, the legal grounds for the data processing, pursuant to Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, is SUZUKI’s legitimate interest:

  • As per SUZUKI’s opinion, the analysis of the website’s usability and quality is also based on a legitimate interest.

In deliberating our legitimate interests, SUZUKI has taken into consideration both the extent to which your interests, rights and freedoms may possibly be violated by our processing of your data, as well as SUZUKI’s organizational structure and processes. SUZUKI’s opinion is that such processing of your data, required in order for you to be able to visit the website and use the features and other third party convenience services offered on it, does not disproportionately affect your personal rights, given the guarantees provided by SUZUKI.

What are the time limits of the data processing?

  • Data on Browsing and Website Usage Patterns are stored for a maximum of 1 month following your visit on the website.

  • Customer Service Data are stored for a maximum of 3 years following our last contacting you.

  • Contact Data are stored for a maximum of 3 years following our last contacting you.

  • Test drive data are stored for a maximum of 1 month following their being forwarded to your selected Dealer.

Who has access to the data?

Within SUZUKI, your data will be accessible to the Domestic Sales Department, the Internal Audit Department, the Legal & Compliance Department and the IT Department, on a “need to know” basis. Whenever you apply for a test drive, your contact information will be forwarded to your selected Dealer, including the name, the email address and the phone number you will have provided to us.

SUZUKI’s IT hosting providers will serve as the processors of the personal data.

What are your rights and remedies?

Pursuant to applicable data protection legislation, you are entitled to: (i) request access to your personal data; (ii) request the rectification of your personal data; (iii) request the deletion of your personal data; (iv) request a restriction on the processing of your personal data; (v) request the enabling of data portability; (vi) object to the processing of your personal data (including the right to object to profiling, and other rights pertaining to automated decision-making). Therefore, you have the below rights:

(i) Right of access

You are entitled to request feedback from us on whether your personal data are being processed, and, if so, you are entitled to request access to such personal data. The right of access covers, inter alia, the below information: the purpose of data processing, the categories of processed personal data, the recipients or the categories of recipients whom the personal data are, or will be, shared with. You are entitled to request a copy of your personal data that fall under processing. If requesting additional copies, we may charge a reasonable fee based on our administrative costs.

(ii) Right of rectification

You are entitled to request us to rectify any inaccuracies in your personal data. Subject to the purpose of the data processing, you are entitled to request the amendment of incomplete personal data, including their being amended by way of supplementary declarations.

(iii) Right of deletion (the right to be forgotten)

You are entitled to request us to delete your personal data, and we may be required to delete such data.

(iv) Right of restricting the processing of data

You are entitled to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data. In this case, your data will be marked, and we will then be able to process them only for specific purposes.

(v) Right of data portability
