THEY ARE TWELVE BUT NOT A DIME A DOZEN

The Phenomenal field gathered for the twelfth time on the Puskás-Suzuki Cup. It is the second time that eight teams are deployed. The tournament will be intercontinental like last year –Brazilia Flamengo accepted our invitation again–. Moreover, Hagi Academy and NK Osijek will also represent the Central-Eastern European Region besides the two traditionally participating Hungarian teams between the 6th and 10th of July.

We could righteously say that the eight-team formula was yet another step in the history of the more than a decade old Puskás-Suzuki Cup. Football gourmets will find the menu delightful this year as well. Besides the trio mentioned in the introduction those clubs are also entitled to be present where Ferenc Puskás used to play: the U17 teams of Honvéd, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos are with us since the beginning. The Bavarian star club, Bayern Munich entered the game the third time, Hagi –the academy founded by the best Romanian football player ever– is back after two years. The under 17-year-old talents of Osijek are being welcome for the first time.

Many future world class football players proved their talents in the last decade. I believe the football legends of the future will be there in Felcsút now as well, and I am glad that I can be among their first fans” – Dr. László Urbán, Deputy CEO of Magyar Suzuki Corporation shared his thoughts.

On Thursday, June 6, the ball is going to start rolling again on one of the most prestigious junior football cups of Europe until the medals find their rightful owners on Whit Monday giving a life experience to both the participating youth and the fans.
