Suzuki SX4 S-CROSS Facelift: more powerful, exciting and sophisticated

Suzuki Motor Corporation is proud to exhibit the new SX4 S-CROSS facelift model, which blends hatchback design with SUV taste, at this year’s Paris Motor Show. As the successor to the SX4, which went on sale in 2006, the SX4 S-CROSS takes design, utility, drivability, and environmental performance to whole new levels.

The facelift includes significant changes to the front design and the adoption of newly designed alloy wheels and larger tyres to create a more sophisticated exterior appearance with more dynamic SUV presence. The renewed interior delivers a higher level of quality that realises a more relaxed cabin environment for occupants.

For the engine, the SX4 S-CROSS adopts Suzuki’s BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engine. This enables it to achieve both environmental efficiency and dynamic performance. More powerful, exciting, and environmentally friendly, the SX4 S-CROSS facelift model is being produced at the Magyar Suzuki plant in Hungary. Sales started this summer in European countries.

Exterior Design

With new bumper, bonnet, and grille designs, a raised face line, newly designed alloy wheels and larger tyres, the exterior styling conveys yet stronger SUV presence. New LED lighting for the headlamps and rear combination lamps also adds a sharper, narrower image.

The renewed body colour line-up now adds five new colours;

Sphere Blue Pearl and Mineral Grey Metallic are bright, but with a calming subtleness that adds graceful expression to the exterior’s styling. Canyon Brown Pearl Metallic and Energetic Red Pearl are bright and vivid, serving to further emphasise the strength of the SUV styling.

Interior Design

To realise a relaxing, high quality interior the cabin occupants can fully enjoy, piano black colouring is newly introduced for the audio system garnish and centre louvers, and satin chrome plating for the instrument panel ornaments.

The instrument panel soft padding is also upgraded to a material with an enhanced texture, and the new seat fabric design adds a stronger sense of luxury. With its renewed meter cluster as a finishing touch, the calm, elegant interior ambiance harmonises well with the dynamic exterior styling.

Performance

The new petrol engine line-up for the SX4 S-CROSS introduces a choice of Suzuki’s 1.0 BOOSTERJET or 1.4 BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engines. Both feature environmental performance and the power to match the facelift model’s dynamic exterior styling. A change from the CVT of the previous model to a new paddle shift six-speed automatic transmission also enhances performance, delivering a more direct feeling to acceleration and shifting, while also realising greater gearbox efficiency.
