Magyar Suzuki supports engineering training with donated vehicle

Magyar Suzuki has donated a Suzuki Vitara to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) to support vehicle engineering training. The handover ceremony was held at the BME’s Centre of Competence, where the leaders of the university and the company emphasised the importance of industrial cooperation.

Magyar Suzuki has been cooperating with BME for years, and the vehicle now handed over will be integrated into the educational processes of several specialist subjects at the Faculty of Transportation Engineering and Vehicle Engineering. The Suzuki Vitara will provide students with the opportunity to study the most modern vehicle mechatronics and chassis design procedures.
At the event, József Kocsis, Executive General Manager of Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Assurance of Magyar Suzuki, stressed that “Continuous development and partnerships with universities are essential to maintain competitiveness. The Vitara model that has just been handed over provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in a real-world environment and contribute to future automotive developments.”
Charaf Hassan, BME Rector, highlighted that cooperation and knowledge sharing represent the greatest value, as students can gain industrial experience.
The common goal of Magyar Suzuki and BME is to create developments and projects that contribute to the sustainability and competitiveness of the Hungarian automotive industry and the entire national innovation system.
