Magyar Suzuki receives prestigious award for talent development programme
Magyar Suzuki Corporation has received a prestigious professional award at the Companies for the Future Award 2026 gala, organised by the Joint Venture Association (JVSZ). This year, the company was honoured with the special award for BEST TALENT PROGRAMME. The award was accepted by Dr. Zoltán Varga, Executive General Manager of Magyar Suzuki.
In the opinion of the professional jury, the Suzuki Academy shares knowledge within the company and the group as the forward-facing training programme of Magyar Suzuki, whilst also responding to labour market challenges and acting as a bridge between generations and cultures. The programme not only strengthens employee skills but also plays a key role in shaping corporate culture. The jury highlighted that the initiative serves as a driver of knowledge-based development, contributing to the company’s international competitiveness and helping it adapt to the ongoing transformation of the automotive industry.
The Maintenance Academy helps strengthen technical skills while the Leadership Academy supports strong and stable corporate governance. The Global Talent Management Programme helps build a knowledge network by enabling engineers, technicians and maintenance professionals to gain international experience. Building on manufacturing practices in Hungary, participants can deepen their expertise and acquire new knowledge in Japanese production facilities. The company takes particular pride in the Suzuki Education Centre launched in 2023, and the associated dual training scheme.
The Suzuki Academy is closely aligned with the company’s 35-year presence in Hungary, representing both its legacy and future-oriented continuation. By leveraging the accumulated expertise since the launch of its Esztergom plant, Magyar Suzuki is laying the foundations for the development of future generations. The strategic objective of the initiative is to ensure that Hungarian professionals not only apply but also actively shape the automotive solutions of the future. At the same time, by elevating innovations developed in Esztergom to an international level and integrating Japanese system-based thinking and methodologies into domestic operations, the company ensures the long-term sustainability of its growth.
