Industry and education hand in hand: Magyar Suzuki again helps university students with donated car

Magyar Suzuki has donated a white Suzuki Vitara to the University of Pannonia’s University Centre in Zalaegerszeg. This vehicle will further strengthen the students’ education and support their practice-oriented learning.

At the handover ceremony, Dr. Róbert Kurdi, deputy rector general of the university, emphasised the importance of the Zalaegerszeg Campus for the automotive industry, which is increasingly linked to future technologies. On behalf of Magyar Suzuki, József Kocsis, Executive General Manager of Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Assurance of Magyar Suzuki, highlighted that the company’s long-term goal is to support Hungarian innovation and professional education by cooperating with higher education institutions.

The event featured the test engineer basic training course, the only one of its kind in Hungary, as well as the Scientific Student Association dissertation of László Ágh, entitled: “Creating a digital twin for vehicle dynamics simulation”. The event ended with a presentation of the dual training results and the ceremonial handover of the car.

This collaboration represents another step towards strengthening the links between industry and education – the mobility professionals of the future can start developing their skills in a real-life environment today.

Earlier this year, Magyar Suzuki also donated a Vitara model to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), thereby supporting the
institution’s automotive engineering courses.
