All-New JIMNY Wins World Urban Car Category in 2019 World Car Awards

We are deeply humbled and proud to announce that the all-new Jimny has been voted as the proud winner of the World Urban Car category in the 2019 World Car Awards. The result was announced at the World Car Awards press conference held on 17th April 2019 at the New York International Auto Show. It is the first time for Suzuki to win an award in any category.

“We at Suzuki are greatly honoured to receive this award,” says President Toshihiro Suzuki, “The Jimny is the one-and-only, compact, authentic off-roader, and we have kept true to this concept for almost 50 years. It now has many fans around the world, who enjoy its excellent performance and one-of-a-kind functional design, both on and off-road. We accept this award on behalf of our fans, as well as with pride and confidence in our passion to build exciting cars to be the foot of our customers everyday lives.”

The Jimny was announced as one of the three finalists of the World Urban Car category and also the World Car Design of the Year at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 5th. It is now the winner of the World Urban Car, and the “Top 3 in the World” of the World Car Design of the Year.
